In the government’s continuing campaign to screw the American public yet convince us all that it isn’t, this in from The AP;
“Missteps found in awarding Katrina deals”
“The review of federal contracts from five government agencies, conducted by the House Small Business Committee, is the latest to document missteps in the award of billions of dollars of lucrative government work since the 2005 storm.
The findings were provided Wednesday to The Associated Press in advance of a hearing by the committee Thursday at which officials from the five agencies were to testify about the contract awarding system.
The committee’s review found that small businesses in Louisiana had an overall net loss of $8.9 million in contracting dollars since April, when the agencies reaffirmed their commitment to give smaller companies a share of the work. The loss was due in part to a decision at the Homeland Security Department to modify several existing agreements instead of awarding significant new contracts.
In addition, the review found the five agencies — Homeland Security, General Services Administration, Defense, Veterans Affairs and Small Business Administration — had claimed falsely that 259 contracts were awarded to small businesses when in fact they went to large companies or ineligible recipients. That created the false impression that more than $95 million in contracts was awarded to small companies, when they actually went elsewhere.
Overall, about 7.4 percent of Katrina contracts so far have gone to small businesses in Louisiana, down from 12.5 percent in April, according to the committee.”
Makes you just want to jump right up and believe this lie also… When the hell is this President going to learn that actions speak so much louder than his bs words???
I know there are many other sites that do this and this Blog has been dormant for a long time. I also owe apologies because I feel like I ought to have been following up myself but - I’m going to attempt to keep up with this nature of bullsh** from here on because someone has to have these lies and thievery documented for history. The Truth and - Selling Top Quality Merchandise at the right price! Except that both have become a lost art in favor of greed.
For the last few months I’ve been discovering how far out of the “loop” I became having been away from retailing for some time. The “guest” (who made customer a bad word?) has become completely, totally trained to purchase only when the sale is good enough!
Regardless, the “associate” (who made salesperson a bad word?) has become required to maintain a sales per hour quota or risk losing either income or employment (another bad word).
The level of turnover is - what is the correct word? Repugnant! This leads to valued “associates” being asked to go above and beyond the “normal” duties of covering one department occasionally helping out elsewhere. Now they are scheduled in such a manner that they are there when short-handedness is rampant and their good nature won’t allow them to let business go poorly. One minor detail - while covering another area, if sales are made, they don’t receive full credit towards the sales per hour responsibility to maintain their income or employment.
“Checking your numbers” the following day leads to deep discouragement! You’ve been of service, been helpful and yet you’ve been “disciplined” for it! You come up short though you’re told you made the top ten for the previous day. You face a cut in your hourly wage for coming up short. You didn’t cause it. But - you made the top ten!
When was the last time you explained to a “guest” that by purchasing a $700 item of quality that would last the “guest” a lifetime thereby lowering the cost of that item considerably below the other, less expensive item requiring replacement every three years - and the “guest” understood and agreed???

The world is f****d up folks and it needs to change!!! Screw the Blog Marketing - pray for your neighbor, be kind to your fellow man - for a friggin’ day!!! Stand up in solidarity against the evil that has pervaded our globe and mankind’s collective thinking!!! Tell Al-qaida AND Bush both to go to hell and stay there, we can do just fine without either of them!!!
